Bluetooth Gamepad/Controller

How to use a Bluetooth Gamepad/Controller with AXIBO.

Turn on Controller

  1. Hold onto the home button to turn on the gamepad.

  2. Once on, the gamepad LED should glow purple signifying it is on and in the keyframes mode.

  3. The gamepad has three modes that you can access by pressing the options button:

    - Keyframes (purple) - Tracking (green). - Timelapse (yellow)

General Commands

Within all of the modes you can access basic AXIBO commands such as:

  1. Calibrate your slider by holding L1 and then pressing the home button.

  2. Continuously move your slider axis by holding L1 and pressing L2 or R2.

  3. Increment your slider position by holding L1 and pressing down the left and right joysticks.

  4. Continuously move your tilt & pan axes by holding L1 and jogging right joystick.

  5. Increment your pan position by holding L1 and pressing the ◀/▶ on the directional pad.

  6. Increment your tilt position by holding L1 and pressing the ▲/▼ on the directional pad.

  7. Continuously adjust your focus & zoom axes by holding L1 and jogging left joystick.

  8. To increment zoom & focus using the directional pad, hold both L1 & R1 and press .

  9. To reset to default in any mode, press the share button.

  10. To stop any movement or process, press the pad.

Keyframes Mode

  1. Use general commands to move AXIBO to desired first keyframe position.

  2. Press to add keyframes & to remove keyframes.

  3. Toggle between keyframes using the ◀/▶ arrows.

  4. Hold L1 and pressto run & save the keyframes.

  5. Adjust keyframes speed using ▲/▼ arrows.

  6. To repeat keyframes, hold L1 and press .

  7. To loop Keyframes, hold L1 & R1 and press .

Tracking Mode

  1. Use general commands to position subject in frame.

  2. Pressto start tracking.

  3. Hold L1 & use ◀/▶ arrows to offset pan during tracking.

  4. Hold L1 & use ▲/▼ arrows to offset tilt during tracking.

  5. To adjust pan speed, toggle ◀/▶ arrows.

  6. To adjust slider speed, toggle ▲/▼ arrows.

  7. Pressto enable/disable slider during tracking.

  8. Press to enable/disable tilt during tracking.

Timelapse Mode

  1. Use general commands to move AXIBO to desired first keyframe position.

  2. Press to add keyframes & to remove keyframes.

  3. Hold L1 and press to preview your timelapse.

  4. Once you are happy with the setup, you can press to launch the timelapse with preset settings.

  5. To adjust timelapse settings, use the pad to stop the timelapse.

  6. Toggle ▲/▼ arrows to change timelapse duration.

  7. Toggle ◀/▶ arrows to change time interval between timelapse photos.

Settings Mode

Following commands require holding down L1 and R1:

  1. Use ◀/▶ to increase/decrease step size for position incrementation and offsets.

  2. Use ▲/▼ to increase/decrease joysticking speed.

  3. To switch control between zoom & focus and pan & tilt press .

  4. To free drive pan, tilt & high speed module slide, press down on the right joystick.

  5. To free drive zoom & focus, press down on the left joystick.
