Focus Calibration

To calibrate your focus unit you need to follow the steps outlined in the focus calibration section of the settings page.

  1. Plug in your focus motor.

  2. Go to the settings page shown below.

  3. Follow the instructions under the focus calibration.

  1. Set your focus into free drive by pressing the "Free" button. Once pressed, you can turn the focus ring on your lens freely.

  2. Then move your focus so that it is on the lowest focus distance on your lens. Type in the distance that is on the top of the lens and then press the "Store" button.

  3. Then turn the focus motor to its infinity focus and hit store.

  4. Type in th focal length you are shooting in the lens settings section.

  5. Press "Calibrate". Your focus motor is now calibrated.

Motor Configuration

The motor configuration is the same as the other axes with 3 extra buttons: "Set as Zoom", "Free" and "Rev".

Set as zoom = This button changes your focus motor to a zoom motor.

Free = This button allows you to free drive your focus motor, so you can manually focus.

Rev = This button puts the controls into reverse, so it goes the opposite way when moved.
