Motor Configuration

The Motor Configuration menu allows you to adjust the parameters around the different axes and how they run.

Quick and Quiet mode

The Quiet mode button ensures that your AXIBO operates with minimal noise. If quick mode is selected, then AXIBO's speed and torque will increase causing the device to become louder.

Calibration

  1. Press the "Calibration" button in the motors configuration menu.

  2. Use the joystick to move the pan tilt axes until both pan and tilt buttons are a lighter blue.

  3. Press the "Calibrate" button

  4. Wait for calibration to be done and for the calibration message to disappear. Once calibration is done click ignore.

Select whatever axis that you want to change the settings for

You can then change the maximum and minimum range of each axis.

  1. Select the max or min range that you want to edit. Click on the text field and type the number that you want to be your new max or min value.

  2. Then click the "SET" button.

  3. The "Set POS Zero" button resets the current position of your AXIBO pan tilt unit to the zero position.

Beep mode

Beep mode alerts the user with an audible beep if AXIBO skips.

Smart Stop

When smart stop is enabled, if AXIBO skips for whatever reason then it will stop running the keyframes, time-lapse, tracking, and all other processes running.

Walkthrough

Pressing the "?" button will lead you through a walkthrough of AXIBO's settings page.

Reset to Default

Pressing the "Reset" button will reset all the different axes' max and min ranges back to their set defaults

AXIBO Camera Settings

Integrated Camera Controls

The integrated camera controls default is to have the Auto Exposure turned on. This is so AXIBO can determine the best lighting for tracking or general viewing. If you want manual control, you can turn auto exposure off and then use the slider seen above to control the integrated camera's exposure.

Integrated Camera Resolution

Clicking on the "Camera Resolution" dropdown menu allows you to change the integrated camera resolution.

Camera Feed Rotation

Clicking on the "Camera Rotation" dropdown menu allows you to change the rotation of the camera feed incase your AXIBO is mounted differently.

Camera feed

Clicking on the camera feed button will open up a larger view of the camera feed that you can zoom in on. This setting is available on every page.

Test Trigger

The "Test Trigger" button will test the camera trigger. When your camera's trigger cable is plugged in, press the "Test Trigger" button and your camera will take a picture.

Keyframe Storage

Add and Delete

  1. Pressing the "+" button will allow you to load a way point onto AXIBO that you have on your computer. Once pressed a browse window will appear.

  2. To Find the saved waypoint on your computer press browse, then a windows explorer will appear so you can find it.

  3. Once found and selected, press the "Import" and you will find it in your keyframe library.

  4. Pressing the "X" button at the top right corner will delete all of the keyframes on the page.

Download and Delete

  1. To download a keyframe onto your computer to save it or share it press the "Cloud" button in the row of the Keyframe, and your download will began.

  2. To delete a single keyframe press the "X" button at the far right corner in the row, a "Are You Sure?" pop up window will appear to confirm your actions.

Connection Settings

Product Connection INFO

Hotspot Name = This is the name of your AXIBO unit. This will appear as the WIFI name when trying to connect to a network.

WIFI Connection Name = This will display the name of the WIFI network your AXIBO unit is to connected to if it is.

WIFI Connection URL = The WIFI Connection URL is the number that you type into a search bar to get AXIBO's connection to show up.

Ethernet Connection URL= The Ethernet Connection URL is the number that you type into a search bar to get AXIBO's connection to show up.

Bluetooth page

  1. First step to connect to a Bluetooth device is to press the "Bluetooth" button and then a Bluetooth menu will appear.

  2. Any pairable devices will be shown in rows. Press the connection button and a loading page will appear. Once AXIBO is connected, the window will disappear.

  3. In the Bluetooth page, it will show your connected Bluetooth device.

  4. If you want to delete a Bluetooth device, then click the red "X" button and the loading menu will appear. It will disappear once it is disconnected.

WIFI Settings

WIFI Connection is used to connect your AXIBO unit to WIFI so that you can control or update it over a WIFI connection.

Note: This will allow you to still use the internet on the device you are connected with as well as control AXIBO.

How to Connect:

  1. Press the "WIFI Connection" button.

  2. Enter your network's name and password.

  3. Press the "Connect" button.

  4. A pop-up window will appear prompting you to restart the network once connected. Press the "Restart Network" button.

  5. After the "Restart Network" button is pressed, refresh the page.

  6. There will be a new "WIFI Connection URL" on the connection settings page. Type that into your search bar.

Reset Hotspot

Resetting the WIFI hotspot will reset the WIFI connection. This will disconnect you from the WIFI if you were connected to it.

How to Reset:

  1. Press "Reset To Hotspot" button

  2. A reset pop-up will appear, press the "Reset Network" button, then refresh the page. Your networks will now be reset.

Updater

Current Version = This displays the current firmware of your AXIBO Unit.

Firmware Updater = This will update the firmware of the actual pan, tilt, slider or focus units. Note: This will not update the AXIBO Controller. To update, follow the steps in the "New Updates" Section but press the "Firmware" button.

New Updates = When there is a new update the "Check For Updates" button will be light blue.

Force Updates = This will update the firmware of everything plugged into your AXIBO including your controller. Even if it is the on the current version it will reload the update. To update follow the steps in the "New Updates" Section, but press the "Force Update" button

  1. Click the "Firmware" button, a pop-up will appear asking if you are sure, press the "Yes, Update it!" and the update will begin.

  2. A new window will pop-up with the progress of the loading.

  3. Once the loading is done, refresh the page.

Health Checks

Health checks allows you to turn on, off, and restart the different services of AXIBO. On the left (in the picture above), under services you have the names of each service that AXIBO has. In the middle, you can see the status of each service.

There are three options for the status: Active, inactive, and Failed

  • Active = Service is running.

  • Inactive = Service is turned off.

  • Failed = Service is not running due to an error.

You can turn on, off or reset any of these services through the "Actions" side of the panel. This panel has the following three options:

On= This button turns the service on.

RE= This button restarts the services.

OFF= This button turns the service off.

The "Reboot AXIBO" buttons reboots all of AXIBO's services.
